Happy Thanksgiving!

I can't believe it is already Thanksgiving! Woke up this morning, the kids were watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. While watching the parade, the kids made Pilgrim Hat cookies. Its funny because this time of year makes you stop and think about what you are really thankful for. Even if we are not happy about the newly elected president, we still live in the best country in the world. We are a very blessed country, even in our tough economic times. We have family, friends, and health. There is truly alot for us to be thankful for. Happy Thanksgiving!

Kidney Stone!

Wow! I ended up going to the E.R. this morning at 2:30, I was in so much pain. I have heard how bad Kidney Stones are but I was praying I never had to experience them, but the Doctor said that is what I have. Right now I am laying in bed, got some good pain meds in me and waiting for it to pass...I still feel nauseated...I hope that passes as well. Pray for me!

Christmas Time at S.D.C...

We went to Silver Dollar City this weekend, it is their Christmas Celebration. We had alot of fun, Silver Dollar City keeps Christ in Christmas...it is a good family atmosphere. That is why we love going there, we usually go a few times a year. The whole park is decorated with millions of lights, trees, snowmen, everything to do with Christmas. They have a huge animated tree in the town square, with an awesome light show. The train ride is all decorated for Christmas, and halfway through the train ride, the train stops and the story of Jesus's birth is told. They have a parade of lights, tons of shows, if you have never been at Christmas, YOU NEED TOO. Nono got to see Santa, Brinn thinks she is too big, until it comes to the gifts...

Devil's Den

We went to Devil's Den today. We had a picnic, and yes it was cold, 47 degrees to be exact. It was a good day, we went on the Devil's Den Trail, it is a 1 1/2 mile hike....pretty much all up hill! Got some good pictures of the kids, and scoped out some good camping spots. Brinn had a lock in at Church lastnight, she only got 2 hours or so of sleep. They had a spa night, nails, hair, facials....life is good. At Nono's fellowship lastnight they had the Police, Fire Dept., Paramedics there. They had their vehicles and a smoke house there for the kids to explore, he had fun! Well off to bed...Goodnight!

Forgive them Father!

Forgive them Father for they know not what they do....I have heard this from several people, after them hearing who won President. Also, and this to will pass....and it will, after a long four years! I really don't understand the people who say they are Christians, and yet vote totally opposite of what they say they believe in. I had one person tell me the day of the Election, "I hear if obama gets elected....we will get another stimulus check by the end of November." I stopped and looked at this person and said, ARE YOU SERIOUS? If he is elected, he will not be in office until January. I thought this is the type of mentality that is getting him elected, and she had heard that from several friends, scary huh? Anyway's I just had to vent. The kids got really into the election this year, and they were beyond upset as obama took the lead. My kids wore their McCain/Palin shirts and even wrote with sidewalk chalk on the driveway...."McCain Palin"...."No Bama"...and..."Boo Biden". I wish I would of taken a picture. I am proud of them...after all they already are smarter and have more of a sense of morality than most adults. Alright I have rambled long enough....

Fall Photos of the Kids...

We went and took some pictures of the kids, we actually took them on Halloween. I found this old barn that was built in 1930, it turned out to be a really cool find. The owner is a retired Doctor and he told us the history of the barn and let us go inside. He loved that the kids were so intrested. He let us take pictures, he gave the kids a pumpkin and some candy. I also have a couple of shots of Brinn in her American Girl costume "Kirsten". Brinn pulled out her Amercian Girl books and let DR. S and his wife look at them. They were so nice!
