Laundry!

I was watching the Duggar's a few weeks ago, and they said they do 180 loads of laundry a month. I laughed because there is 19 of them, and I swear we do almost as much laundry as they do and there is only 4 of us. So, December 1st we began a chart of how many loads of laundry we do. I will let you know how many we did for the month of December. My wife makes her own laundry soap and it really helps the budget, and it works really well also. I'll keep you posted on how many loads we do compared to the Duggar's. Wow, we just got Elfed....I was typing this and our doorbell rang, opened the door and there was a sack with goodies for the kids and a note giving instructions that you have to elf two more people and only 24 hours to do so. Not sure who Elfed us but Thanks! the kids thought it was cool....

Quick Trip...

Today my parents were going to Tulsa, and asked if we wanted to go. The kids and I went with them, Adria was feeling under the weather and stayed home and rested. We went to the Bass Pro Shop and a few other stores. We had a good time and the kids got a few gifts, that they have no idea that they got. They both found things they wanted and I told them its too close to Christmas, then Papa went back and got the stuff they wanted, which was hard to hide in an extended cab Chevy. We ate lunch at Steak and Shake, which was pretty good. All in all, a good day!

We are going to go to the Rockin M Ranch tommorrow, we are going to help Grandmother make Christmas candy. Tonight is my last night at work as well, until after the New Years. We have a work Christmas Party thursday, not sure if I'm going. I'm just gonna relax!

Happy Thanksgiving!

I can't believe it is already Thanksgiving! Woke up this morning, the kids were watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. While watching the parade, the kids made Pilgrim Hat cookies. Its funny because this time of year makes you stop and think about what you are really thankful for. Even if we are not happy about the newly elected president, we still live in the best country in the world. We are a very blessed country, even in our tough economic times. We have family, friends, and health. There is truly alot for us to be thankful for. Happy Thanksgiving!

Kidney Stone!

Wow! I ended up going to the E.R. this morning at 2:30, I was in so much pain. I have heard how bad Kidney Stones are but I was praying I never had to experience them, but the Doctor said that is what I have. Right now I am laying in bed, got some good pain meds in me and waiting for it to pass...I still feel nauseated...I hope that passes as well. Pray for me!

Christmas Time at S.D.C...

We went to Silver Dollar City this weekend, it is their Christmas Celebration. We had alot of fun, Silver Dollar City keeps Christ in Christmas...it is a good family atmosphere. That is why we love going there, we usually go a few times a year. The whole park is decorated with millions of lights, trees, snowmen, everything to do with Christmas. They have a huge animated tree in the town square, with an awesome light show. The train ride is all decorated for Christmas, and halfway through the train ride, the train stops and the story of Jesus's birth is told. They have a parade of lights, tons of shows, if you have never been at Christmas, YOU NEED TOO. Nono got to see Santa, Brinn thinks she is too big, until it comes to the gifts...

Devil's Den

We went to Devil's Den today. We had a picnic, and yes it was cold, 47 degrees to be exact. It was a good day, we went on the Devil's Den Trail, it is a 1 1/2 mile hike....pretty much all up hill! Got some good pictures of the kids, and scoped out some good camping spots. Brinn had a lock in at Church lastnight, she only got 2 hours or so of sleep. They had a spa night, nails, hair, facials....life is good. At Nono's fellowship lastnight they had the Police, Fire Dept., Paramedics there. They had their vehicles and a smoke house there for the kids to explore, he had fun! Well off to bed...Goodnight!

Forgive them Father!

Forgive them Father for they know not what they do....I have heard this from several people, after them hearing who won President. Also, and this to will pass....and it will, after a long four years! I really don't understand the people who say they are Christians, and yet vote totally opposite of what they say they believe in. I had one person tell me the day of the Election, "I hear if obama gets elected....we will get another stimulus check by the end of November." I stopped and looked at this person and said, ARE YOU SERIOUS? If he is elected, he will not be in office until January. I thought this is the type of mentality that is getting him elected, and she had heard that from several friends, scary huh? Anyway's I just had to vent. The kids got really into the election this year, and they were beyond upset as obama took the lead. My kids wore their McCain/Palin shirts and even wrote with sidewalk chalk on the driveway...."McCain Palin"...."No Bama"...and..."Boo Biden". I wish I would of taken a picture. I am proud of them...after all they already are smarter and have more of a sense of morality than most adults. Alright I have rambled long enough....

Fall Photos of the Kids...

We went and took some pictures of the kids, we actually took them on Halloween. I found this old barn that was built in 1930, it turned out to be a really cool find. The owner is a retired Doctor and he told us the history of the barn and let us go inside. He loved that the kids were so intrested. He let us take pictures, he gave the kids a pumpkin and some candy. I also have a couple of shots of Brinn in her American Girl costume "Kirsten". Brinn pulled out her Amercian Girl books and let DR. S and his wife look at them. They were so nice!

Happy Halloween...

Happy Halloween, we aren't really big on Halloween. We stayed home tonight, the kids wanted to hand out candy from our house. We have always lived in the country and never have had trick or treaters. So, we stayed home, carved some pumpkins, ate hotwings and bagel bites. The kids put on their costumes and handed out candy, of course I trick or treated them...couldn't help it!

Camping...

It has been a week since our camping trip, I have been so busy that i am just now getting to post. We went camping last weekend with our friends, we had a great time, wonderful weather! I think we kept a campfire burning the whole time, except when we were sleeping. It did get pretty cold at night, so it made my 2:00 a.m. bathroom run, so much fun....The kids had alot of fun, riding bikes and just hanging out with their friends. Here are some of our pictures from the weekend. I'm ready to go back!

Weekend flew by!

Well the weekend is over, almost time for bed...it is 10:34 p.m. and thats just about my bedtime. My wife was off this weekend and that was really nice. Friday night we went to a Hoe Down, at a farm with our children's ministry workers and families. We went on a hay ride and went through a corn maze, which was cool in the dark ( I had a flashlight! ), alot of people didn't have any light at all, that would be alot harder to find your way out. We had a fire-pit, hotdogs, everything that goes along with a Hoe Down. Went to Target after that, we laughed because we were so dirty after going through mazes, riding on bales of hay and smelling like firewood, but we had to go to Target. Saturday was a cleaning and organizing house day, and that evening after taking stuff to goodwill and storage, we went shopping for a few things, to help us get ready for our camping trip that is coming up. We have planning this camping trip for months, and its going to be here before we know it. After Church tonight we went out to eat with some friends, which was nice just to catch up. Everyone is always so busy, its nice when you can just sit down and talk. Well time for me to hit the hay, well go to bed that is. Goodnight!

Rattlesnake!

Apparently this 9 foot 1 inch Rattlesnake was killed at Fort Chaffee, within the last couple of days. Which is way to close to home for me. Fort Chaffee is right outside of Fort Smith, I just hope it did'nt have any buddies!

Feeling Better....

Well I am feeling better this afternoon, I went to work at the school this afternoon. I am watching the Duggar family on TLC, I can't imagine having that many kids... 17 and 1 on the way. I am trying to get all of the stuff I sold on EBAY ready to be shipped. I love EBAY, it is so much fun selling stuff you don't want anymore. I think I am going to grab a bite to eat and as soon as Adria gets home, I am going to bed. Goodnight!

Long Day!

Today was a long day, I ended up going to the ER. I have had this congestion, cough, drainage, stuff for about three weeks. It has settled in my chest, and the kids were calling me Wheezie this morning. Since the kids have been congested the past few days, I decided to take them with me as well. The Doctor said that they had their normal allergy stuff. I got the works, blood work, chest X-ray, and the diagnosis is......I have walking pneumonia, so I got antibiotics, and a decongestant. That only took 5 hours of our lives, but if it goes away, it will be worth it. Adria went to Church because she had a leaders meeting immediately after Church and another one right before Church, so she had a busy day as well. She has had the same congestion stuff for a little over 3 months, the doctor gave her antibiotics, she went back and he prescribed something else but it has not gone away. When we got home, I had to read my Biology, I have 4 test this week. I have a Biology test, Biology Lab quizz, Structures exam, and a Psychology exam......Fun Stuff! Bought a Bunk Bed yesterday, got it put together, it was actually easy, believe that or not. It made the room so much bigger getting rid of two twin beds, and going up with them. Well I am going to bed, I hope I can sleep tonight!

Jonas Brothers...

I was looking at the Air 1 site and saw this story, I have always heard of Purity Rings and the True Love Waits pledge. The Jonas Brothers, who hasn't heard of the Jonas Brothers, were wearing their rings at the MTV Awards and the Host was giving them a hard time but apparently they thought it was a compliment that he noticed that they were gentlemen. I copied an article comment below, I thought it was cool, wish more stars would stand up for what they believe in....

The Jonas Brothers have vowed to abstain from sex until marriage.
The popular band of brothers wear purity rings as "promises to ourselves and to God that we'll stay pure till marriage," Joe, 18, tells Details magazine in their March issue.
The rings are "just one of our ways of kind of like being different than everybody else out there," Nick says.
"I got mine made at Disney World," Nick, 15 adds. "It's pretty awesome."
Oldest brother Kevin, 20, has a ring from Tiffany's. "It's pretty rock and roll," Kevin tells the magazine. "It's getting banged up a little bit because of the guitar."
Though Nick tells Details that he loves the trio's fans – the "screaming girls are awesome," he says – the brothers have told Usmagazine.com they enjoy being single.

We have Jonas Brother Cd's and as long as they continue on this track, we will continue to buy them.

God Was Too Busy!

I got this as an email and thought it was good.....

God's Busy, if you don't know GOD, don't make stupid remarks!!!!!!!

A United States Marine was attending some college courses betweenassignments. He had completed missions in Iraq and Afghanistan .
One of the courses had a professor who was an avowed atheistand a member of the ACLU.

One day the professor shocked the class when he came in. He looked tothe ceiling and flatly stated, 'God, if you are real, then I want you toknock me off this platform, I'll give you exactly 15 minutes.' The lectureroom fell silent. You could hear a pin drop.

Ten minutes went by and the professor proclaimed, 'Here I am God,
I'm still waiting.' It got down to the last couple of minutes when the
Marine got out of his chair, went up to the professor, and cold-cocked
him; knocking him off the platform. The professor was out cold. The
Marine went back to his seat and sat there, silently. The other students
were shocked and stunned and sat there looking on in silence.

The professor eventually came to, noticeably shaken, looked at theMarine and asked, 'What the heck is the matter with you?'
'Why did you do that?' The Marine calmly replied, 'God was too
busy today protecting America's soldiers who are protecting
your right to say stupid stuff and act like an idiot, so, He sent me.'

I hope you enjoyed it! The professor reminds me of those who trash Palin.

Monday!

Took my first Biology Test today, not sure how I feel about it. I have my first Structures Test Wed., I had 3 different homework assignments for the same class, I did get those done today. We got a new couch the other day, a sectional, there is a seat for everyone plus some. It is denim and you can remove all the covers and best of all they are washable, which with 2 kids and a dog that is awesome. We added some chocolate throw pillows to blend it with our decor and it is so warm and cozy now. I wasn't sure about it because I had to put my leather chair in storage for now, but I like it, we can all get comfy together. Took our old couch and donated it before Ike got here. Well enough rambling for today....

Woo Hoo!

Took my first Psychology Test today, I was really worried about it, because I did not know what to expect. I made a 88, I did'nt really even know what to study, so not bad huh? My first Biology test is Monday, that is the one I'm really worried about. I'm actually off work tonight, I'm watching Ghost Hunters, I love this show, and I'm usually at work. Its going to be a great night. Ghost Hunters, Destination Truth, Pizza, couldn't be better!

Its Friday!

I was so ready for Friday, I have alot of Homework this weekend but its ok. The kids have Kids Fellowship at Church tonight, so I have to take them where they need to go. I will have about 3 hours to myself, so that will be nice, sometimes you just need time by yourself! I need some jeans, maybe I will go look for a pair of jeans, on sale of course. I am a bargain hunter, if it is not on sale, I don't buy it. It's not that I am cheap, it's being smart....at least that is what I am going by. With me going to School and working part time, money is tight, so we have to stretch it as much as we can. So, back to jeans...I need jeans, my jeans are in bad shape. I hate looking for jeans, I dont know how many times I have returned them because I get my size, get them home and they are some stupid low rise pair. Why does a guy need low rise jeans? I have no idea why anyone needs low rise jeans but especially guys, and even more so, guys my size. LOL If the waist size is in the 40's....low rise is not needed! Ok, I'm not sure why I went there but I did and I'm not back-spacing. Well I've got to go clean the Kitchen, so see ya!

Good Labor Day!

Today was a good day. Went and picked up Brinn from her friends house, they made popcorn balls and made dog beds for their dogs. Brinn's is blue with purple trim and Louie's name on it, such a talented girl...watch out Martha! After picking Brinn up, we went to the Rockin M Farm AKA Grandmothers. The kids got to see their horse friend Delta, I got a 22 automatic rifle, so got to do some target practice and the kids shot their BB guns. Brinn did take a couple shots with the rifle, she is really good. Went by my Aunt Vicki's house, she had some eggs for me and even better, some Pork Chops, Pork Steaks, and Sausage...Thanks! Aunt Vicki... I also tried to fix her wireless connection but it would not setup, something to do with the IP address, beyond my computer knowledge. Great day in all, back to the real world tommorrow. Goodnight!

Long Weekend...

Long weekend sort of, a full weekend. Saturday Noah went and spent the night with his friend Caleb and we met up with them at Church this morning. Today after Church Caleb came over and he is spending the night with us tonight. Brinn was home all day yesterday with us, I think she missed her little brother. We took some stuff to Goodwill and then went to the Book Shop. Tonight Brinn is spending the night with her friend Olivia, so tommorrow I will be running around delivering and picking up children. I had a wild week at work, we have a wild bunch of kids this year. I am hoping that they settle down soon. School is going well, I have 13 hours this semester. Only one week down but I was ready for tommorrow off. Brinn wants her friend Britt to come to Kids Fellowship on Friday, so I'm sure the planning is already in the making, another busy week in store. Happy Labor Day!

Found this, thought it was cool....

Please make sure you pray before you decide who to vote for, it is very important, so do not listen to the Media's ignorant statements, and listen to what God says.

A few random pictures from the past year...

I thought it would be cool to put up some pictures of things we have done in the past year!
