First Place!

We had our Home School Co-op presentation night this past Thursday night. During this presentation night, we also had the annual Art Show Contest. Noah won First Place in his category for his painting, he also won $25.00. Brinnlee also won First Place in her category for her drawing, and she also won $25.00. I am so proud of them, they did their projects all by themselves. I wasn't sure....how they would do, i kept telling Noah..."pay attention to the detail"....he said dad its fine and apparently it was. Congrats my babies!

Wow, what a busy Anniversary!

Well today is our 13th wedding anniversary, and it was a busy one. We woke up this morning with our feet running, we had to be at church this morning early to get the things that we are responsible for done and ready to go. After church we had to go grab something to eat and run to Target before having to return to the 180 at 3:00 for preparation for Family Time service we had tonight. After leaving the 180, we got home around 9:00, and now I'm wondering where did the day go? where did the weekend go? Not the way we necessarily wanted to spend our anniversary but we had to do, what we had to do. I guess we will make it up to each other sooner or later. For some reason we exchanged gifts on Friday night, I guess just knowing today was going to be out of the question. Anyways, another busy week....seems like I have so much school work due this week, in fact I do! Last week was the same way, I had a test everyday except Friday, and three papers due as well. This week, i have a power point, a group video in Spanish I, a Final in Spanish I, an Oral Final in Spanish I, a paper due in Intro to Ed., a paper due in Science in the Classroom over Bad Science.....I think that might be it, oh plus I have to work, co-op, and life in general, also I have some painting to do. I am so ready for Spring Break but it is not until the 23rd if I can wait that long! Well I am off to bed!

Taking a deep breath...

It has been a busy busy past couple of weeks! A little over a week ago, my wife had surgery, so those few days were crazy. She goes back this friday for check up and hopefully all is well. School has been busy, so many projects this semester, plus I started observing this past friday. Nono's birthday was thursday, he had a party with the homeschool group at Chuck E Cheese. On his birthday we went out for lunch and he spent the night with his nana and papa. On friday we went to dinner with grandma and grandpa, and we also had Brinn's friend Olivia spending the night with us that night. Of course we had to go to Wal-Mart and Target to let him spend his money and gift cards. Saturday he wanted to take a couple of friends to see Hotel for Dogs.....and then we went to get something to eat afterwards. Sunday I caught up on homework, and today was just as busy....went to my classes, pciked up kids, grabbed lunch, went to the Civic Center to see the F.S. Symphony, and now my wife and kids are gone to a girl scout meeting and I am studying for my Spanish midterm tommorrow. Whew! And its only Monday!

Ice Damage...

Lastnight around 11:45 we woke up to the sound of limbs crashing down on the house and fence. They fell on the corner of the house and then fell down onto the fence and now we can see into the neighbor's yard. We woke the kids up and moved them into the living room because the end of the house where the pine trees are, is where their room is located. I went out in the icy rain and moved my truck over away from the trees, it was funny because of course its midnight and freezing rain is falling and I can't see anything and here I am trying to move my truck so falling limbs would not hit it. Not sure what tonight will bring, the temperatures are suppose to fall under freezing and the falling moisture is still coming. I hope our electricity stays on, we have been fortunate so far.

Watching the weather!

Well I am watching the weather, we are expecting ICE, I hope the electricity stays on this time. My wife had to go back to her store to do inventory.....there was suppose to be whole team to do this but as the ice came so did the phone calls. So, the managers are the only ones there, which I am not happy about. She recieved a call from the other manager and said the big stores are closing early because of the ice....instead of saying since all the other stores are concerned about their employees and letting them go home.....NO, the response was so we can start earlier! OH! and you can park under Dillard's, so the cars won't be covered with ice....how considerate. I know I know, I'm complaining but I have to vent or I'd be calling the District Manager and telling her what I think.....and my wife does not want me to do that...LOL. I'm working on homework even though we probably will not have school tommorrow but you never know....we live in Arklahoma!!! What is funny but not....is our power just flickered a couple of times, maybe it is time to light some candles.

Ready for the Weekend!

This has been a really long week! I had alot of projects due this week and thankfully i got them all done. Tonight we have a leaders meeting at our Children's Pastor's home, to discuss the upcoming events. Sometime this weekend I have to watch "Lean On Me" for one of my classes and write a short essay about the teacher portrayed in it. Of course I need to look over my Spanish and work on my project that I will be teaching to my "Science in the Classroom" class. I am going to teach about the Circulatory System and we are going to make edible blood....got to love Science!

Sick of being Sick!

Well I have been doing fine until this week, not only is it the first week of this semester, now I'm sick! Adria came home the other night running a fever and was sick in bed all day yesterday. I started running fever lastnight, felt like a truck hit me! Now we are all sick, I sometimes think it is our duplex we live in. Everything is always so dusty, I get tired of dusting.....maybe its mold....LOL....I don't know but after moving back from Texas, our allergies, sinus's were fine until we moved here. Anyways I finished my Autobiographical Pre-Assessment Writing for Intro. to Ed., printed it, and emailed it to my professor. I hope that I did it right! I called my Brother-in-law, being an English professor and all.....and it looks like I was doing it right. I'm trying to practice my Spanish, if I don't use it, I loose it. I wish the snow would of continued....I love snow!

Back to Backpacking it!

Yes, school started back today. I have a pretty full schedule this semester, and I also have to do my 30 hours of observing. Lesson plans, teaching science experiments, hiking in the woods with 5th graders, all kinds of stuff lined up for me to do. I can't wait to be finished! I got to visit one of our friends classroom yesterday, her son was having a Birthday Party at the school's gym where she teaches. She took us on a tour of her classroom, and it was a really cool room and made me want to be done that much more.

The Verdict Is In....

Happy New Year! The verdict is in.....over the month of December we did 94 loads of laundry, about half of the Duggar's. The sad thing is, is that we have four in our family versus twenty in theirs. I knew we did alot of laundry but had no idea that we did that much, and this was a normal month....no camping trips, no returning from Church camp. I guess it is a good thing my wife makes our laundry soap....saving us money! Well it is the New Year, I guess we will see how things shape up pretty soon. New President in a few days, I'm sure the economy will bounce back as soon as he is in office (according to the media), and I'm sure their will be World Peace as well....after all Obama is the greatest right? I have a few New Years resolutions this year and I am determined to stick with them but I am not saying what they are just in case I don't stick with them...LOL...Anyways Happy New Year!
